TC8 – Automotive Ethernet ECU Test Specification

TC8 is responsible for developing and upholding Automotive Ethernet ECU Test and Conformance Specifications throughout all seven OSI layers. The objective is to establish a unified foundation for ECU conformance qualification. Additionally, TC8 outlines test processes and requirements to facilitate the creation of qualified test houses, ensuring the provision of effective ECU test services.

TC8 provides test specifications that cover test requirements of Automotive Ethernet technologies in cooperation with other TCs. The group is currently working on:

Adaptation of Conformance test spec Layer 1 (IOP and PMA) for 1000BASE-T1 in cooperation with TC9 / TC12
Adaptation of Conformance test spec Layer 1 (IOP and PMA) for 10BASE-T1 in cooperation with TC14
